To be eligible for the loan program you must be a Champaign County resident, involved parent of (a) dependent child(ren), at least 18 years old, employed or pursuing post-high school education for at least 6 months, unable to obtain approval from conventional loan sources, and have a valid driver's license and can obtain insurance.
There is a refundable $50 fee to apply for the Ways to Work loan program. The fee is refunded if you are not approved for a loan or you recieve a Ways to Work loan and complete all program requirements.

The Transportation Resources of Urbana-Champaign (TRUC) is a non-profit automobile dealership through Urban League of Champaign County that sells vehicles to those in need. We offer affordable monthly rates, routine maintenance clinics, and credit counseling services to the working poor.
